Hello Robert:
I wanted to give you some feedback from the caribou hunt my son, Brad, and I enjoyed this year with Tunilik. As you know, we were on the Sept 6-12 hunt.
We lucked out----the caribou were moving into our area, we had 3 excellent guides for 8 hunters, and a very comfortable camp with super cook---Peggy. Brad and I both took bulls on the 1st and 3rd days of the hunt. Colin, our guide, did an excellent job for us. Perry and Alan were also excellent guides. Initially, I had some reservations about the use of ATVs. But I am now converted. Especially for older hunters, these are a God-send. I am 77 years old and am in good physical shape. But I have a gimpy left knee and can't plow through the swampy areas like the young bucks. Being able to jump on the back of the ATV really helped. And having those to pack the meat out was a huge help. On 2 days, Colin had the meat from 3 big bulls to pack out. I don't know what he would have done without the ATV.
The camp was very comfortable and we had outstanding food. Peggy, our cook, was unbelievable. Homemade rolls and bread every day, breakfast on order each morning, escargot as appetizer for our final dinner, etc. She was amazing.
All in all, I would give our hunt a solid A as a grade.

My brothers and I want you to know how happy we are with the hunt your organization provided for us. The accommodations at Tunilik Camp were first class with electricity, flush toilets, hot showers and heat. The aluminum boats were in good condition and the outboard engines worked reliably. Having the helicopter and pilot available for four days was a real treat. The pilot, Emmanuel, was skillful, courteous and anxious to please, even though he didn’t speak very much English. He delivered us to remote locations and safely returned us to the lodge each evening. The ATVs allowed us to range further from camp than we would have been able to, if we had to walk. It was a bumpy ride, but it wasn’t walking.
As with any organization it’s your people that will have the greatest impact on customer relations. Your people are superb. The guides: Perry, Allen, and Colin, were knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and above all patient with those of us who were not in the best of shape. The cook, Peggy, was a real gem. She prepared individual breakfasts for each customer as we got up and around in the morning. Peggy then fixed sandwiches for each hunter and made available to them fruit, bars, and soft drinks as they put together their field lunch for the day. When we returned to the lodge in the evening, she had hors d’ oeuvres and wine ready. Later she prepared and served generous portions of a delicious supper. After the meal she was right there taking our plates away and offering a fresh cup of coffee. She is a great ambassador for your organization, always ready with a smile and a joke.
All in all I want you to know that I would highly recommend Aventure Tunilik to anyone who is interested in a high quality caribou hunt. Your facilities, accommodations and people are first rate. It was generous of you to accept NORPAQ’s customers when they suspended their operations for the 2009 season, and my brothers and I appreciate it.

Hope all is well with you and maybe slowing down a little after the busy hunting season. We all got home safe and are back to our normal routines. I can not begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our hunt with you and the Great people at Adventure Tunilik. The people were great, the food was great, and most of all we had a Great Hunt. Thanks Peter for all you did to make this a success for our entire group. You did everything you said you would do and for that we are Grateful.
